1. Report of the Gender Audit at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT)

The CIAT gender audit was possible thanks to the Systemwide Program on Participatory Research and Gender Analysis for Technology Development and Institutional Innovation (PRGA) that commissioned the study and to more than one hundred CIAT personnel, partners in research and research for development, contractors and ex-workers who generously shared their views with the consultant.

Reporte de la Auditoria de Género en el Centro Internacional de Agricultura Tropical (CIAT), Resumen Ejecutivo

El Programa PRGA comisionó una auditoria de género en CIAT con el objetivo general de contribuir al establecimiento de una estrategia institucional para la integración de la perspectiva de género en la investigación y el lugar de trabajo a través
de un proceso que involucre a todo el personal, y que se construya sobre su experiencia colectiva. La auditoria de género resultó en un diagnóstico, conclusiones y recomendaciones a profundidad, parte de los cuales están resumidos a continuación.

2. PRGA Program appoints new Convening Center Board of Trustees Representative

The PRGA Program is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr Fina Opio as the Convening Center Board of Trustees Representative on the PRGA Program Advisory Committee (PAC).

3. PRGA / ASARECA Gender Position Final Report, December 2008

This is the final report for the gender position that was supported by the PRGA Program at ASARECA. The position was an outcome of the initiative Building Capacity in Gender Analysis and Gender Mainstreaming in the NARS of ASARECA. By the end of the project, it was apparent that a lot needed to be done to continue the gender-mainstreaming efforts at ASARECA—gender mainstreaming is a process.

5. Women Feeding Cities - Mainstreaming gender in urban agriculture and food security (forthcoming book)

Poverty, food insecurity and malnutrition have become critical urban problems. To confront this major challenge, food production in and around cities is an important strategy, contributing not only to food security and adequate nutrition but also stimulating supplementary income generation and social inclusion among low-income, vulnerable households in urban and peri-urban areas.

6. Trainings on Making Governance Gender Responsive

"Making Governance Gender Responsive (MGGR)" is a generic course that can be adapted and modified to suit the needs of the different countries in Asia-Pacific. The initial training module was developed by the Center for Asia-Pacific Women in Politics (CAPWIP), with funding support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through its Asia-Pacific Gender Equality Network (UNDP-APGEN) and the Regional Governance Programme for Asia and the Pacific (UNDP-PARAGON).
